In the year 1992 the conductors, Jesper Koch and Preben Nissen, agreed to form a new band that was to play Ballroom Music as they used to do in America and England, but also in most of the world at the beginning of the twenties and thirties.

At the beginning it was very difficult for the two gentlemen to find a suitable repertoire, but gradually contact was established to other musicians and band leaders around the world, and a grandiose exchange of very fine, original arrangements took place.

In that way the band “Kong Hans Kongelige Hofkapel”/”King Hans’ Royal Court Band” was born. 

It’s a great experience for the musicians to join the revival of the tuneful and swinging music.When the band performs “live” we experience only positive reactions to the happy music. The music raises people’s spirits, and they cannot stop dancing.

King Hans’ Royal Court Band performs everywhere, large or small stage is not important.

What matters is that the audience feels good and leaves the concert with an unforgettable experience.
